The Iron Maiden show at The Forum, last Saturday, April 16th, was awesome, mainly, because they’re Maiden, and no matter what they play, they’re amazing. Crazy to think that this is only the second time in my life that I’ve seen Maiden, and the first was on the Powerslave tour, when I was in 10th Grade!! Comparing the two, I’d have to say, the Powerslave tour just cannot be topped, both, in song selection, as well as production. Bruce Dickenson’s vocals were amazing this time, but, I was really disappointed that I couldn’t hear Steve Harris’ bass, at all!! Booooo!! They played too many new tunes, which I’m not a big fan of, but they nailed the classics, like, “The Trooper,” “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” “Powerslave,” and “Number of The Beast.” I wish they played more of their classics, but it was great to experience Maiden with my awesome, Maiden-loving girlfriend, at The Forum. 🙂
